Hi friends, welcome to my little corner of the internet!
If you’re new here, my name is Brittany, and I’m a pastry chef & freelance model living in San Diego. When I’m not in the kitchen or posting photos of my cat on Instagram, you can find me playing video games (very badly) on Twitch, in the tattoo shop, hiking, or petting an animal somewhere. My real life is full of smoothies, big bowls of kale, quinoa, and fruit salads for lunch. My blog is full of the over-the-top, indulgent, decadent food that I want to be eating 24/7.
After 4 years of being on-again-off-again vegetarian, I decided to take the plunge and go full vegan in 2013. I was so excited for this change in my life, but was immediately disappointed when I tasted my first vegan cupcake. It was bland, dry, and gritty, and it tasted… vegan. As a professional pastry chef, I refuse to live without dessert, so I made it my personal mission to create the richest, most delicious desserts that you would never guess are plant-based!
A few more things about the blog:
1. I’m allergic to coconut milk, so you’ll never see it here.
2. My recipes are vegan, but I am technically “plant-based” since I still eat honey.
